GenKota History:
GenKota Winery, located in Mt. Vernon, IL, I-57/64, exit 95, opened
December 12, 1997.
The Amish-built winery sits on a gentle hill overlooking two acres
of growing vineyard.
The wraparound, covered deck encourages sitting and sipping. Owned
by Dr. & Mrs. Bradley Drake
and named for their daughters, Gennifer and Dakota, GenKota's wines,
manufactured on site,
have won numerous awards in both state and international competitions.
